The Samsung technology company has presented on Thursday the latest mobile processor Exynos 7 Series 9160. Samsung has announced the new Exynos 7 Series 9610 processor, manufactured with its proprietary 10-nanometer FinFET processing technology . This latest component offers features such as image processing based on deep learning (‘deep learning’) or the recording of videos in ‘slow motion’ at 480 frames per second.
In the statement, The South Korean company has stressed that this mobile chip “raises” the multimedia experience with features “level ‘premium'”
The Exynos 9610 features a neural network engine that enhances face detection by the ‘smartphone’ camera, allowing it to recognize faces that do not look directly at the device or that are partially covered by hair or objects. In addition, it offers an intelligent depth recognition system to capture images with blur effects such as ‘bokeh’ with simple camera systems and improves the quality of photographs in low light conditions
The new processor from Samsung allows you to record videos in ‘slow motion’ at 480 frames per second and Full HD quality. As the company has highlighted, its image signal processor (ISP) is capable of coding these contents improving 1.6 times the performance and exceeding by more than twice the speed with respect to current models.
The Exynos 9610 consists of four Cortex-A73 cores of 2.3 gigahertz and four Cortex-A53 1.6 GHz cores, and a ARM Mali-G72 graphics processing unit (GPU) . In addition, it incorporates a low consumption ‘hub’ based on Cortex-M4F that allows to permanently maintain assets such as recognition of gestures or identification of the ‘smartphone’ environment. It also integrates an LTE modem that offers speeds of 600 megabits per second in download and 150 megabits per second in upload.
